Surgery process
Before considering rhinoplasty surgery it is also important that you have clear and realistic expectations to what you wish to achieve.

When undergo rhinoplasty, the skin of the nose is separated from the supporting bone and cartilage. Next the bone and cartilage is sculpted to achieve your desired shape before the skin is repositioned. The exact position of the incision depends on the individual plastic surgeon. The incision is either made inside the nostrils or across the vertical strip of tissue separating the nostrils.

After the surgery
You will have to wear a splint to help your nose maintain its new shape. You will be up and about within the first 2 days and can expect to be back at work about a week after surgery. However, you will not feel entirely normal until after several weeks. Strenuous activities, including sexual relations, should be avoided for 2-3 weeks.

The surgeon will tell you everything you need to know about post-surgery recovery and it is important that you follow his advice closely to ensure optimal healing.
